A FAULT CODE IS A CLUE. NOT A DIAGNOSIS.


A trouble code tells us what the vehicle noticed. It doesn't automatically tell us what failed.

We use scan data, wiring information, measurements and hands-on testing to determine what's actually happening before recommending repairs.


We'd rather charge you for answers than guesses.

CODING, ADAPTATIONS & ELECTRONIC SERVICE


Replacing a component on a modern European vehicle isn't always the end of the repair.


Some components require initialization, adaptation, calibration, relearning or coding before they'll operate correctly with the rest of the vehicle.


Our diagnostic equipment gives us access to many of these functions, including supported:

  • Coding & configuration
  • Component adaptations
  • System relearns
  • Service resets
  • Bidirectional controls
  • Calibrations
  • Module and system testing

Capabilities vary by manufacturer, model, year and system.

And we're going to be straight about that.


We do not pretend aftermarket equipment replaces every factory tool or factory-level function. Some programming, security and manufacturer-specific procedures may still require dealer or factory access.

If that's the case, we'll tell you.

THE CORRECT SPECIFICATION ISN'T OPTIONAL.


European manufacturers can be extremely specific about engine oils, coolants, transmission fluids, brake fluids, filters, spark plugs and service procedures.


There's usually a reason.


Gearhead uses fluids and components that meet the requirements of the application rather than treating “close enough” as good enough.


That doesn't mean every European repair has to be expensive.



It means doing the job correctly the first time can be a whole lot cheaper than fixing what happens when it isn't.
